Having spent almost two decades as a professional print journalist for myriad media outlets, Carly has experienced different locales and learned to instinctively immerse herself into unique communities. While those range from the Bitterroot of Montana to the Hollywood hills, perhaps the most special of places she’s been fortunate to call home is the Monterey Peninsula. This is where she’s covered local news for the Monterey Herald along with the area’s world-class events like the Concours d’Elegance, multiple AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tournaments, the Pebble Beach Food & Wine and the U.S. Open.
She knows the community; the nuances of different neighborhoods and those that reside in them and has special ties to the Peninsula herself. Monterey is where her mom first lived after coming to the United States as a small child from Germany. Carly herself resided in Pebble Beach as a youngster when her parents moved here to open their own fine gifts store on Ocean and Delores Avenues in Carmel-by-the-Sea. It was aptly named Mayberry Place.
Beyond her local reporting, she has written for well-known publications including The Hollywood Reporter, Forbes and Newsweek covering culture and entertainment. Her professional career has also included teaching English and journalism as an adjunct professor and following her passion for real estate and interior design.
More than ever, she understands the importance of home and having one’s own sanctuary to seek refuge, recharge and spend time with family and friends. She’s committed to facilitating that process and finding the perfect residence for individual clients while providing them with her unique insight and knowledge about the local community, its amenities and astounding beautiful surroundings.
Please don’t hesitate to come to her with your real estate needs. She’s eager to find that ideal property for you, weighing all your needs to fulfill your dream of home ownership and desire to be part of a one-of-a-kind community.
