FELTON COMMUNITY TOUR

The town of Felton is located within the unincorporated area of Santa Cruz County, in an area often referred to as the Santa Cruz Mountains or the San Lorenzo Valley. The San Lorenzo Valley includes the towns of Felton, Ben Lomond, Brookdale, and Boulder Creek. While these small mountain towns are close together, they each have their own unique character and appeal. Downtown Felton has its own grocery store as well as many shops and restaurants, each with their own “local vibe.” The homes in Felton can range from small cabins to larger estates and a variety of topography also exists. Some homes have more of a country feel and can be on flat sunny lots that are walking distance to town and you will find others that are nestled under towering Redwood trees. Felton is surrounded by Henry Cowell State Park, which is known for its mountain biking, hiking and horse trails, as well as easy access to the incredibly scenic San Lorenzo River, which meanders through all of the mountain towns and terminates in the Pacific Ocean, right next to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. In addition to the many activities in Henry Cowell State Park, another favorite pastime is visiting Roaring Camp Railroads and taking a scenic train ride. Felton also includes the areas of Lompico and Zayante and together they comprise the 95018 zip code. While Lompico and Zayante have Felton mailing addresses, they are located northeast of downtown Felton. The neighborhood of Lompico is in close proximity to Loch Lomond Reservoir, a very picturesque lake, which is great for hiking, fishing, rowboating, and picnicking. Swimming and boats with motors are not permitted.
